Neck Pain

Neck pain can occur anywhere in your neck from the bottom of your head to top of your shoulders. It can also spread to your upper back and arms and may limit how much you can move your head or neck. Most neck pain is caused by activities that strain the neck or by an injury.
Discogenic neck pain refers to pain emanating from the disc itself. This type of pain is frequently described as a constant, severe, and localized pain. Epidural steroid injections are a conservative treatment option for this type of pain.
Arthritic conditions in the small facet joints of the spine can also cause neck pain. These small joints are located between the vertebrae and are supplied by medial branch nerves, which can transmit pain. Radiofrequency Lesioning can be used to disrupt these nerves and thus relieve pain.
